Installshield Authoring tool has stopped working - fixes dont work

I keep getting the error message : InstallShield Authoring Tool has Stopped working when trying to edit an msi file. We have Adminstudio 2014 installed.

I have tried the fixes here : http://www.flexerasoftware.com/landing/Microsoft-Security-Update-IS-AR-KB2962872.html but this makes no difference, also the update specified in that page is not even installed on my system...can someone advise as the above does not fix our issue.

The OS we are using is Windows 7 64 Bit with IE11

Hi,

Make sure the dll files are getting updated properly. Manually download the files and check the versions.

Try uninstalling and download a fresh Installshield download.

If you are using any earlier version of Installshield then 2014, check for service packs.
