Installshield 2012 - Windows x64 O.S.'s: Can't get a SQL database to attach
Hi Guys!
Having a very strange problem that has occurred with the new 64 bit windows operating systems (Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7). I'm not sure if it's a permissions issue or not, but I cannot get a SQL database to attach after installing SQL Express using an install script project. I have tried attaching an MDF and LDF, and have reverted to. try restoring a .bak file.
Has anyone experienced this with 64 bit operating systems? I am running SQL commands in my install script project to attach the database, but it's just not working.
If you do something similar, can you share your piece of code on how you are doing it, so that I can compare?
Also if you have ideas on how I can troubleshoot this, I would really appreciate it.
I just updated from Installshield 5 to Installshield 2012 thinking that it was a support issue of 64 bit operating systems, but it's still occurring. So at this point I need to take a different approach.

It might be a permission issue. Check out this thread for more information.
