Hello gents.. I noticed that if I leave IS 2008 studio open for any length of time it keeps gobbling up memory. I left one project running over the weekend and its memory usage grew by 10x from ~65mb when I left on Friday to ~650mb this morning.
If left long enough the system will run out of memory (both physical and virtual) and the studio will eventually crash.
I am experiencing the same thing on both my XP SP2 32-bit and Vista 64 computers. I wish InstallShield would spend a little time cleaning up some of the bugs in the IDE.
I have the same issue, gets really bad when I am building projects over 200 MBs, I build one yesterday that basically rendered my machine usless until it was done building and released some of the memory 😞
