Installer Progress bar....
As I siad before I am running a couple of child installers as a part of my installer. It all seems to be going well. Howvever one of these child installers is quite big and as it runs as an execuite action it does not take part in the progress bar.
Does anybody here have a fix for that? Or, a way of keeping the user entertained enough that he doesn't start thinking the installer is hung?
Thanks for any thoughts on this,
Bradley

Popup a message dialog before you call the other installer to let the user know that another install is going to happen. I'm not sure how to take over the progress bar or if it is even possible.

I was wondering about a custom action to display an animated gif of a progress bar. I might be able to display it for n-seconds or maybe a custom action to display it when the external execute starts and then another custom action to stop the display after the custom action ends.

Thanks for your post, I wasn't sure about that.
