InstallShield 2010 LE Breakdown

Hi,

I recently installed the complete LE package into VS 2010.
Unfortunately, I do only see the intro page of IS. Every next step
leads to a break down of MS VS 2010 with a null-pointer exception.:mad:

I use VS 2010 Prem. DE on a Win 7 64 Bit machine. Any suggestions ?

Could you kindly let us know if the InstallShield Limited Edition project template is available in the VisualStudio IDE.

Could you also let us know when the VS 2010 IDE crashes? Is it while launching the InstallShield Limited Edition project?

Kindly let us know the exact steps which result in Visual Studio IDE crashing.

Hi Lenwin,

this is what I see when opening my ISLE project:

Now, regardless what I select in the project explorer, VS 2010 shuts down:

Tracking this error down with a debugger tells me a common null pointer exception (somewhere).

Any suggestions ?

Hi Lenwin,

the problem is solved with the C++ "IsLimPkg.dll" hotfix.
I did not find the description that this applies to power commands error.
Now, after installing the hotfix, it works.
