IS will not start
Hi!
When starting IS this morning it did not start. Yesterday evening it worked OK. Have tried reboot, repair installation and but it will not start. The splash screen appears and that's it, nothing more happens. Software Manager does not work properly either.
Running (or trying to run!) IS2008 Prof on Vista.
Any ideas?

Hi Kalleh,
If you generate a trace log with Process Monitor, sometimes you'll see what applications are stuck in the middle of when they're hanging.
Can you try creating this, and posting it as an attachment?

Hi again and thanks Cary R for your interest!
The immediate problem is solved. I used a system restore point from the day before it worked - and now it works again. However, it would be interesting to know what caused the problem.
