How to prevent patch from installing if its already installed

Is there a non-programatical way of preventing a patch from being installed if it is already installed?

Check your "Upgrades" tab, and make sure you've set "Any earlier version" under "Product Version"?

Thanks for your reply. However, I believe your suggestion applies to major upgrades, not patches. I'm still not being prevented from installing my patch more than once.

Are you making a QuickPatch project, or using Patch Design?

Hmm, do you have the action ISPreventDowngrade in the Custom Actions->Sequences->Installation->Execute? After FindRelatedProducts, for instance?
