How to execute custom action only for patch

I have to create a patch thru Patch design view in installshield 2008 for my older installer(It was also in installshield

2008).
1.I have a requirement of executing the custom actions for the patch project. Can anybody tell me where can i write the code

for the same so that custom actions can be execute only for the patch?
2.And from where i can check them to execute during the patch execution. I have seen that all the custom actions that are

there in the base version gets execute during the patch execution also.

U can set the condition in the Custom Action as "PATCH"

This will make sure that the custom action is executed only on Patch installation.
