It's kind of tricky, but for an InstallScript sample please see (for example) the source file SdLicense2Dlg.rul in your InstallShield distribution; it contains a function for conditionally disabling the Next button.

Can this be done in an MSI project ?
I have the checkbox disabled by default
-by removing the associated property from the porperty table
BUT: the next button only gets enabled the SECOND time I toggle the checkbox on .....
funny .
anyone ?
PS: I don't now if I am doing this as it should, is there any "official" and right way to do that ?

For a start, perhaps see "Using Check Boxes in Windows Installer" in the Tips & Tricks page: http://www.acresso.com/products/installation/installshield.htm?tabContent=/products/installation/installshield/res_4744.htm.
If that doesn't help, perhaps post your control conditions and such?
