How to create LOG FILE Manually.
Hi All,
I am executing SQL scripts for altering the table structure through InstallShield 2009 setup. . When I ran the setup second time its throwing the error saying like trying to create duplicate column.
Is there any possibilities in IS to capture that error message and log in to a user defined log file in the users machine.
Thanks.

I have this question as well. Is there any way to generate a user-defined log file within InstallShield by default without having to pass it as a command-line parameter?

MSI logs of the installation can be created automatically with MSI 4.0 (Vista) and newer (MSI 4.5 is available for XP SP2 and newer versions of Windows) by using the MsiLogging property (normally set through the General Information|Product Properties view). Prior to this version of MSI, a log can be created by enabling the MSI logging policy in the registry or through Group Policy Object. The only other option to enable logging is from the command line.
