How to build MSI only
Hi,
I have an Installshield 2010 project I have been using for over a year to package versions of our product into an MSI for distribution to customers. I have just moved the installation of Installshield to a different machine (deactivated and reactivated license etc) and moved the project files but cannot get Installshield to work the same. Previously it created an MSI but now everything is getting embedded into a setup.exe. As far as I can see none of the project settings have changed.
Can anyone tell me how to configure it to just build an MSI file? I don't need a setup.exe.
Thanks

I hadn't re-activated the license on the new machine after all. As soon as I did that, it started producing the MSI file again. It looks like the evaluation/unactivated version has limited functionality.
