How to build MSI, not Setup.exe?
I'm using currently the Trial-Version of Installshield Express 2014.
We have used Installshield 2011 Professional in the resent years are looking for an upgrade.
While testing the Express Version im stuck at a realy simple problem.
How do i create a msi-file, not a exe-file.
I used the settings from here: http://helpnet.flexerasoftware.com/isxhelp21/isxhelp21.htm
and choosed "No" for Setup-Launcher.
But it only creates the setup.exe
Is this a bug/issue? Or did i do a mistake?

The evaluation version of InstallShield includes support for building compressed Setup.exe files, but no other release types (such as .msi files). When you activate InstallShield after purchasing it, this limitation is removed, making it possible to generate .msi files.
