How do I uninstall prior version of my software?

I am setting up an InstallShield project for a piece of software that I inherited that was installed by another group in the company using a different version of InstallShield..I don't have the InstallShield settings that the other group used.. how do I get my version of InstallSheild to remove the prior existing version of the software in the Add or Remove Programs panel ...without making the user do it manually? I am physically installing the new software over the old...

go to MEDIA/Upgrades/Prepare Setup for Upgrade Scenarios

Here can you make an upgrade.
Please watch out on "Upgrade Code".
It must be same as your prev. installation.

I have NO idea what the prior installation's upgrade code would be..is there any way to 'extract' that from the InstallShield msi for the prior installation?
