I have a basic MSI project (IS2010 and IS 2011). I add two shortcuts under the start menu in my own group (company name), Ex: Start – All Programs – “Company Name” – “Product 1”, “Product 2”. The problem is that Windows (Vista, Win 7) highlight (yellow) the shortcut for “Product 2” direct under Start after installation. I don´t want this or I want to decide (“Product 1”) witch shortcut should be visible direct under Start. Can I decide this in InstallShield basic MSI project?
You can tell Windows to avoid highlighting the shortcut by adding a property to this shortcut. This is mentioned as an example in the following help topic:
