I've gone over the archives here, and could find threads going back as far 2002 looking for ways to grant a user account NT rights, specifically for the Logon As Service right. I find it strange that the feature never made it into the product, and various awkward an unwieldy workarounds - like bundling NTRIGHTS.EXE with the application and running it from a custom action, or adding custom .NET code in InstallerClasses.
Is there, after all, any built-in way to achieve this in Installshield 2008, or are we stuck with the same old methods?
