Basic MSI Installshield 2010 I am working on one project which register the DLL of another project (third party). The third party project is not putting its INSTALLDIR in the registry. I checked the "InstallLocation" key in registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{GUID} for getting INSTALLDIR but it is blank. Now I am not getting any clue.
The InstallLocation registry value is set (at least for MSI installations) based on the value of the ARPINSTALLOCATION property. If the property has no value, no InstallLocation value will be set.
