Feature condition not respected by patch
in a custom action's "Install Exec Condition" I have:
&Server <> 3
because I don't want it executed if the Server feature was chosen for installation. This works for the msi, but fails for my minor upgrade, and QuickPatch also - it runs every time.
The Action sets a Property value which is used in the Arguments field of a Shortcut. The Shortcut does not get created when the Server feature is chosen.
When the patch runs, if the Shortcut is present it always gets the property value set, which indicates the Action always runs. I only want it to run when the Server feature wasn't installed, just as the original msi did.

got it figured out. I just needed to remove the "s" from REINSTALLMODE. I don't want the shortcuts recreated.
