Feature Prerequisite on Minor Upgrade

For our last release we included a feature prerequisite of one of our products. That product needs to be upgraded as well in a new minor upgrade for the main package.

Is there a way to have the pre-req run again in a minor upgrade scenario?

Perhaps associate the updated prerequisite with your new subfeature. Note that this could get rather messy if you have to pass different command lines, etc., for its upgrading install.

There isn't really a new subfeature. I guess the pre-req conditions aren't checked again.

Maybe the best option is to turn the pre-req in to an MSM and do it that way. I'm not entirely sure.

Perhaps create a new hidden subfeature...

I'd be skeptical about turning it into a merge module, unless it would have made more sense as a merge module to begin with.
