Evaluating InstallShield 2008 - does not run in VM environments? (Virtuozzo)
I've installed the evaluation version of InstallShield 2008 Premier on a virtual environment (running Windows 2003 O/S); the VM environment is provided by virtuozzo (not VMWare, or Microsoft Virtual PC).
When I run the IS 2008 IDE, the hourglass appears and then nothing.
Another forum member helpfully suggested that IS (and specifically the FLEX licensing components used by IS2008) do not support VM environments and require physical hard disk access.
I'm trying to have this confirmed by Acresso. Can somebody please confirm this?
As an aside, Eval's come with Support so you should be able to login to Support and open a ticket even if you don't have Maintenance on your other products.
