Error Code: -5006 : 0x8000ffff
Hello, I am new to this forum so I am sorry if I am in the wrong section. On my desktop I have 64bit Windows 7 Ultimate. Whenever I try to install a program from a disc such as oblivion or fallout 3, I get this error right after I hit the install button. I have tried renaming the installshield folder. It hasn't worked. I still have the same issue afterwards. I would prefer not re-installing windows. I would appreciate any help. I am trying to solve this issue as soon as possible.
Here is the full error I receive:
Edit: A weird thing is, I am installing dead space fine from the disc, but not oblivion or fallout 3....I think this means that the problem is specifically with installshield because I didn't see installshield pop up during the dead space install like it did with the two bethesda games.
Here is the full error I receive:

I think you'll need to contact the manufacturer of the games for help. This forum is for users who are creating installations, not for users who have trouble with the installations.
