I am using Installshield 2012 for the very first time and I never used any other software like this (installer builder), so obviously some difficulties are there, here are some of my questions
1) How do I create a prerequisite with it's location is not listed in one of the directories that is specified
2) How do I set an environment variable with out hard coded value , I want user to give the disk path as value
3) How do I to check that certain software's are installed or not if not need to download and install those first (ruby, php etc)
4) I need user to give me the disk path of certain folder different from environment variable i asked in point 2
I would really appreciate if some one provides a step by step guide for these issues, I am using Installshield 2012 premier
