Dynamic Shortcut Display Name

Hi,

Is it possible to dynamically set the display name of a shortcut?

For example, I created a shortcut at Start > Programs > MyCompany> MyProduct.

Is it possible to change "MyProduct" based on user input? I've tried changing the display name to [SOME_PROPERTY], and change the value of that property with user's input, but with no luck. 😞

Thanks for your help.

If you have not, please refer to this old thread for an example.

Thanks Tsung, that works 😉

But, when the product gets uninstalled, the shortcut is still there.

What's the value of the property at uninstallation? My guess is the property wasn't set during maintenance and/or uninstallation. You will want to generate a verbose uninstallation log for clue.
