Deploying MS Reporting Service 2005 Reports
Hi Guys,
I'm new to this IS thing, I just installed it today and was wondering if there is a good way to deploy MS Reporting Service 2005 reports onto the Report Manger, whether on the default settings "http://localhost/reportserver" or any other setting.

Until I find a better way I'm doing this thru .rss scripts executed by a custom action (I just place my RDL files, content files, and RSS in SUPPORTDIR and execute rs.exe). It works ok but for uninstall I'm finding myself installing an uninstallation .rss script that gets executed by another CA during uninstall, which I'm not too happy with.
As far as determining if Reporting Service is installed I'm just using the following system search:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\Reporting Services->Version
Hope it helps.
