De-compile an existing InstallShield .exe?
I am new to InstallShield (InstallShield 2008 Prof) and am attempting to update an existing InstallShield package (7) which I do not have the source for.
Is there a way to deconstruct the existing package to display the InstallShield scripts.
I need to remove some components, replace others and update for Vista.

I don't know of a way to do this. It sounds like this might have been an installscript installation, and if the setup is not compressed into a single .exe then you can modify the cab files from a command line to replace / add files, but you cannot update or retrieve the original script.

Thank you. I was afraid of that. I'll have to build a new project and select the components I want. 😞
