Custom actions not invoked !

I'm using IS2008 Professional edition to compile and build my BASIC MSI project.When I run the setup.exe , the custom actions are called correctly.

When the same ism file is compiled and built with standalone version(IsSabld.exe) in the build environment, and I run the setup.exe ,the custom actions are never getting invoked. No function in setup.rul is called...

This is urgent, any help is highly appreciated

If you create an MSI log file at run time, are there any notes about the missing actions? If you use one of the differencing tools to compare an MSI made in the UI and an MSI made with the standalone build tool, are there any obvious differences?
