If i run the uninstall from the original setup.exe the custom action will run. If however i goto add/remove programs and uninstall it from there. It does not fire. Any ideas?
When an uninstall is done through Add/Remove Programs this will only run the extracted MSI that is cached. It would not run the full Setup.exe like you can manually - Would your custom action behave differently if it is spawned by the Setup.exe code path versus the MSI code path? I try to make mine all behave from the perspective of there only being an MSI.
