Create a progress dialog or message for update.exe unpack process
We created update.exe using InstallShield 2011 for clients to install patch. One problem returned from clients is that after clicking update.exe, it takes a long silent period to have the first dialog appear. We understand that the long silent period is caused by unpacking installer files. But clients did not know that, often time they thought the patch installation had stalled and clicked update.exe again.
We are trying to display a progress dialog or message during the unpack process. Is there any suggestion implementing this idea? Thanks very much.
