Control Identifier organization and assignment
I am pretty new to installshield, and have not quite figured out the best way to organize and assign dialog control identifiers. I am making custom dialogs. I clone a similar dialog to get the base structure and then move/add to it. However the control identifiers are messing me up, I never know if it has been used already or not. Is there any way to search the project to make sure it isnt be used? What is the convention when assigning new control identifiers? I assume you don't want to reuse control identifiers unless you are trying to have things interlocked. Any guidence on assigning control identifiers after cloning a dialog to then modify would be appreciated.
Thanks
