Conditions and Upgrades
I have three installers, Version 1.0, Version 1.1, and Version 2. Version 1.0 was built with a condition on Component_A to only install File_A if the OS was not Vista. In Versions 1.1 and 2.0, this condition was removed and the file is always installed.
My problem is that when I upgrade from 1.0 to 1.1 or 2, the file is not installed. An upgrade from 1.1 to 2 works perfectly, but a succession of all three (1.0 -> 1.1 -> 2) does not. Why does this condition permeate through all three installs?
My upgrade setting is set to "Complete Uninstall and then Reinstall" so I feel like it should work fine. Any thoughts or potential fixes? Thanks.

You might want to try setting the "Reevalutate Condition" option on this component in the upgraded versions. Without that, since it's not a new component, it uses the old status during a reinstall/upgrade.

Thanks Michael, that solved everything!
