Mostly components have COM data extracted successfully however there are missing interfaces such as ProgID, AppID and TypeLib.
User logged in (Me) is part of local Administrators group. UAC is set to “Never notify”.
One thing I tried to do is turn off the Application Compatibility Engine by running the Global Policy Editor gpedit.msc and selecting Computer Configuration>>Administrative Templates>>Windows Components>>Application Compatibility>>Turn off Application Compatibility Engine=Enabled. This of course did not work.
OS information: • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise (6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601) • Virtual Machine • X64 • 2.53 GHz, 4 core processor • 12 GB RAM
Hello did you ever get to fix this issue? im having thesame issue with installshield 2010. I was forced to upgrade to 2012 but im seeing different issues with 2012
