Component condition

Is it possible to set a component condition based on if a feature is selected for install in the custom Dialog?

I tried to use "&FeatureName<>3" and also "!FeatureName<>3" but neither works.

Is there any reason why the component isn't associated with the feature used in the condition? That way, there is no need to set the condition on the component.
