Check for Acrobat Reader on Installation
Hi,
I want to check that Acrobat reader is installed when I run my installer.
Currently I can check for reader 6, 7 or 8 in isolation. what I want to do is only give a message to the user if no reader is found - so I want to check to see if 6 or 7 or 8 or 9 is installed - and if so then proceed.
Is there a way I can do this as Im struggling with this at the moment - hope you can help..
Rob

You could try searching for "AcroRd32.exe" using FILE_EXISTS
or you could look in the registry for \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader and then the version.
Hope this helps.:D
