Changing the image on the installation windows

Hi,

I need some help in customizing the installation windows with a different image from the default one used by Installshield (left side gray one). I tried using themes but not having success with that. Could someone guide me on how to go about with this customization? I am using InstallShield 2010 Professional.

Thanks,
Thejaswini

It depends on your project type; please see, for example, this old newsletter tip (PDF): http://www.flexerasoftware.com/webdocuments/PDF/DialogBitmaps.pdf.

Hi Again,

I am using InstallScript MSI project. The article in http://www.flexerasoftware.com/webdo...logBitmaps.pdf. helped me to solve the problem for the Exterior and Interior dialogs in general. However the new image is still not added to the "Install Preparation dialog". There is no such dialog in the Dialogs view where the image may be replaced. Please let me know how to go about this.

Thanks,

I believe the initialization dialog box is part of setup.exe, and not the script-dialog resources, which is why it doesn't appear in the Dialogs list. You might be able to modify the image with a resource editor, but common practice seems to be to use the "small initialization dialog" setting.
