Can you adapt the product version to accept 5 characters, x.x.x.x.x, vs the 4 now supported, x.x.x.x?

Simple question, want to use 5 digits in lieu of 4 digits. Some configuration somewhere?

Unfortunately not - 

The format of the ProductVersion Property was created by Microsoft and is limited to the 4 fields, with only the first 3 fields being read by the windows installer engine.
