Calling a third party applications install

Hi all,

It has been a long time since I have written and install and think this will be an easy question.

I tried to do some searching but as usual with install stuff it is about knowing the right key words.

My new install would like to make sure there is a third party application installed and if not call its installation (in silent mode if possible).

I know back in the old days I would use installscript and check if the third party app was installed and if it was not call the third party's installer before moving on with my install flow.

Is there a better way now?

Hi ,

I know only third party installation with installation script, I dunno any other new way to installing the third party software with in our installation.

You may want to consider creating an InstallShield prerequiste for your third-party application, and then adding the prerequisite to your project.
