Best approach for creating EventViewer logs and sources?
I'm new to IS so you'll have to forgive me if I'm asking some obvious questions.
I need our installer to create event logs and sources. Does IS 2008 provide this ability, or is this something that would require customization of some kind?
If this needs to be custom, what would be the best approach (or just point me in the right direction).
I figured this out. I created a custom EXE that creates the event log and sets up the event sources. I execute this from a custom action in IS 2008. Apparantly there is no built-in support for event log/source setup.
