Basic MSI UnInstall NT Service leaves SCM entry

Guys,

I make a simple MSI and install my service. All fine. I then run Add/Remove and Keyfile gets removed. However SCM shows my service still there.
So, is IS 2009 so clever it adds the correct registry settings. Yes it is. I can even component wizard that step - but no need - I know what I'm doing.

So, why does uninstall leave service entries in HKLM ?? IS IS2009 now not so clever as to leave servvice entry in registry.

I totally persisted with IS 11 until IS 2009 came out (I skipped IS 2008) thinking some of these basic bugs would be gone after 3 years.

Please tell me I missed somthing silly & this is not a bug.
Thanks,

So it was something silly.

I think I figured it out myself.

When a person uninstalls a service - why is the default not to delete the service entry. The exe gets deleted after all///????!!!!

I mean - is it just me? Or what.

Now I know why enterprise programs leave entries in the SCM list! Just like all those "Shared Dlls" that Installshield defaults to "Yes". And CCleaner deletes for us..... Sheesh....:(

OMG. Another headache solved....
