To link subfolders to Features,
U can use DynamicLinking.
Steps for Dynamic Linking(DL).
1) Add a component for a feature
2) Right Click on Componet to DL
3) Select "FileLinking"
4) Select "Dynamic Links" radio button
5) Browse the path of your folder
6) Check "Include Sub Folders" option to include subfolders.

Are there any errors returned? Do simpler automation examples work on your system?
