What is the way to add a registry key in a quickpatch? I associate it with a component. Everytime, I try to add a registry key, quickpatch always fail to update the files?
That link explains how to create a registry key in quickpatch, but doesn't propose a solution to the OP's problem. I've encountered the same thing -I created a quickpatch that includes a new registry key and a revised component but upon installation, the component delivery fails while the registry key creation is successful. I've opened a case with Installshield support for this issue.
