When running an installer, the following LaunchAnywhere error may be displayed during launch time:Could not find a valid Java virtual machine to load error. You may need to reinstall a supported Java virtual machine.
Cause
This error can occur when:- The configured JVM search settings for the installer fail to find a valid VM on the target machine.
- There is an issue with the JVM that is either bundled with the installer or with the JVM installed on the target machine.
Resolution
- Make sure a valid JVM is installed on the target machine that you are running the installer on. A JVM is determined to be valid by the JVM search settings configured for the installer. Please refer to the articles below for more information on the JVM search setting:
- Make sure the JVM being used by the installer is not corrupted. If the JVM being used is installed on the machine, try reinstalling the JVM or installing a newer version of Java on the target machine if applicable. If the JVM is being bundled with the installer, make sure you are using a valid VM pack. This error can result from an improperly created VM pack.
