windows 8 installer user interface mode not supported - installAnywhere2010
When I created a new installer for windows using installAnywhere 2010 enterprise, I encountered this error when installing on Windows 8. The error message is:
installer user interface mode not supported
I was able to work around this by right-click and selecting "Windows 7 compatibility". Our company does not want the users to have to do this step, is there a way to fix this? Basically I have 3 questions:
1) Is there a way to make the installer.exe not show the "installer user interface mode not supported" without requiring users to right-click and selecting "windows 7 compatibility"?
2) Is there a path for installAywhere 2010 available to fix this?
3) Does this problem exist on installAnywhere 2012 or is it already fixed on this IA version?
Many thanks.

You should upgrade to a newer IA version, that would fully support Win 8.
Hi,
We are using IAW 2011 SP3 Enterprise Version.
We are facing the same issue when we run the setup on Windows Server 2012.
Kindly, let me know if there is any solution for this.
Thanks & Regards,

I found that opening a command prompt (Run as Administrator) and then calling the setup program as "setup -i GUI" got around the problem
