hi can i do this
hi ,
there is a requirement like when the user chooses the install folder say
PLACEFORINSTALL, if the file already exists there i need to prompt a message to the user that a file already exists but now even when the folder is there it overwrites it.
I mean to be very clear here i am talkiing about $USER_INSTALL_FOLDER$,
which i ask for in the pre install task.
Can anyone kindly tell me how to achieve it.
That is i want to prompt the user if the folder user chooses for installation already exists on the end users machine it should prompt him instead of directly overwriting it

Simply use a "Show Message Dialog" with a "Check File/Folder Attributes" Rule.
P.S.: You should read the manual as I suggested a few weeks ago!

Yves
