do we have smoe IA action to change the file permissions

Hi ,

I am Vijaya, i am new to IA.

I have one question i.e How to change the file permissions of a particular file on the target box where we are going to install the s/w.

the file exist on the target on some particular path.

i just want to change file permissions of that file using IA(i am not interested to use chmod command). I am looking for some IA action.

When installing the file you've got the option Override default Unix / Mac OS X permissions, you need to check it and set the permissions you want.

Hi,

I appended some text to a particular file using modify text file action.
I am able to append the text at the end of a file.

but the text what ever i appended contains spaces for example there is 2 or 3 tab space between word to word in a single line.

After the installer get installed it truncating the spaces to single tab.

Can any one explains how to get text in the result file as it is(the way i am appending to file using modify text file action).


is it possible or do i need to write some custom action
