delete folder/file created by previous install on different install path

During newer installer uninstall process, the folders/files are not deleted from older installer created on a different path. Do I have to specifically call script to delete them? In 2009, there's no customization on "uninstall".
Is it easier to make it customized "Uninstall" in 2010?

I'm afraid it's yet another not very clear issue. So you install a setup created with an older installer then you apply an uninstall for a newer version created with a newer version of IA?
