cannot use console dialog in pre-uninstall

hi,
i find the console show message dialog cannot work in pre-uninstall task.
it will not be displayed in console mode
please see the picture.

anyone can tell me why?

Hi,

Looks like the console mode un-installation does not work as expected (at least on windows)

I have the Uninstaller UI mode set to which is GUI by default.

When I install on windows in console mode, the uninstaller seems being set to "Silent" instead of "console" !!!!
There is maybe a known issue? I didn't check.

The workaround is to execute the uninstaller with "-i console" option.

I did not check this on linux ... I guess it is well working. Is it ?

In InstallAnywhere 2008 (uninstall.lax), there was this setting which seems to be removed in IA2009 ....

# LAX.INSTALLER.UNIX.UI.DEFAULT
# -----------------------------

lax.installer.unix.ui.default=
