Web Installer works, CD-ROM installer not

Hi,

does someone also encounter this kind of problem?

1. Web Installer works OK, but CD-ROM Installer is bad.
The error in CD-ROM Installer is that the Install File action failed, as below:

In Install section, the Install File action failed in CD-ROM Installer, the action get one file:/Lisbon/jboss/setup.properties, install it to $USER_MAGIC_FOLDER_2$/etc/.

I have this same issue. If anyone knows of a resolution, your help would be greatly appreciated. I've been working with Flexera Support on this but haven't found a workaround yet.

Hi Vlad,

That's true for me. I have the same stack traces in my logs. In my situation it had been consistent for 7 files. But I have seen it on other files and in fact, the build I ran last night ended up having the error with a single file.

For my situation I had noticed this happen about a year ago on an older release (currently on 2008 VP1 Enterprise). I've only seen it when trying to do a CD installation that spans multiple CD's. I was not able to resolve the issue with Macrovision but had found that if I reduced my CD size to the point where it was under the limit of a single CD it went away.

Another thing to note. In all cases, if I open up my resource1.zip (on Disc1) and resource2.zip (on Disc2) the troubled files are always in both zip files.
