Uninstallation Error in Japanese Locale

I am using InstallAnywhere 2008 Enterprise and installed the application successfully in a Japanese locale.

While uninstallation, came across some errors due to which the uninstall process couldn't complete. While trying to invoke uninstaller, the message pops up saying "The properties file is missing...." and further on clicking OK, "Unable to locate the application's 'main class...." with the title "Unable to Launch Java Application".

Interestingly enough, when I renamed the uninstaller, omitting the Japanese locale string, the uninstaller worked.

What could be the exact cause of the uninstall problem? Is it because of the language/locale string set inside the .lax file or some other property(ies) setting(s) in the .lax file in the Uninstall folder bundled with the product/application?

Attaching the screen-shots for the reference.

Does your installation path contain Japanese characters also?
