I got this misleading message during console mode installation:

When it ask for select the Java VM:

Please Choose a Java VM for Use by the Installed Application

->1- /usr/bin/java
2- /opt/jdk1.6.0_16/bin/java

3- Choose a Java VM already installed on this system

ENTER THE NUMBER FOR THE JAVA VM, OR PRESS TO ACCEPT THE
CURRENT SELECTION: 3
ENTER THE ABSOLUTE PATH TO THE JAVA VM EXECUTABLE OF YOUR CHOICE
: /opt/jdk1.6.0_16/bin/java

PATH TO THE JAVA EXECUTABLE IS:
/opt/jdk1.6.0_16/bin/java
IS THIS CORRECT? (Y/N): Y

this happens for all platforms including windows, but it is not a blocker of the installation, I can continue the installation steps without any problem even I get this message.

But from what you say, this is a minor issue, it's just a wrong message being displayed, the installer won't fail, correct?

yes, the installation would continue without any problem, just misleading message.

tried with IA 2012, problem still exists.
