Trying to Upgrade my product with IA2009 Installer

Hi all,
:confused: 😮 😞
i'm trying to upgrade my product using the IA2009 installer.
i've promote the Version and i'm using the same Product ID (on Project->Description) as the installer installed the product in the first time.

Two problems that i'm facing (maybe they related?!):
1 - After installing what suppose to be the "Upgrade" the version of the installed Product on the user machine haven't chnged (i look in to it on the "Add/Remove Programs").
ALSO (and maybe it related to the above issue).
2 - The "Find Component in Registry" dose not find anything although i put on the "Find Component" the "Product ID" as defined on Project->Description.

Did anyone ran into this before?
Am I missing something???
Pleassssss any help will be much appreciated.

This KB article also contains a sample project file that will help you in better understanding in creating a patch.
