Shortcuts not being added to Program Group
Yet another problem we are having with IA2010 is that now when a user asks the installer to put the application shortcuts into a program group they do not show up. Either the default program group we specify, or a new one, or an existing one that the user selects.
We are running IA 2010 +SP1 +HotfixA
We did not have this problem in IS 2009
Our IA projects were "migrated" by IA 2010 from their originals created using IA 2009.
Anyone else seeing this?

Not sure if this is a migration issue since I started directly with IA2010. But You have to make sure you have all your possibl shortcut location dirs in the "Install" action and under each directory you have the action to Create a shortcut. You can rules to each to check if the user specified the dir or its the default.
For ex I have Start Menu, quick launch bar and All user desktop as three dirs in my install action with rules to check if the user checked off these options in pre-install.
